Metal Gear Solid... Not PS3?

A few days ago, this image appeared on a Konami splash page. It could be a lot of things. Most assume the last symbol means that Metal Gear Solid will be on the Xbox 360. Others, like me, think that it won't be.

Here's my reasoning. It's Metal Gear. They do things like this for Kijima's sick and twisted pleasure. The "!" probably means "Metal Gear Ac!d" and the "i" probably means the DSi, or iPhone. But whatever it means, I can almost guarantee you that this is just an Ac!d game. Nothing to get all hot an bothered about. Also notice how it says "A next metal gear game" not "The next metal gear game"

oh man... I don't like how its green and has the power symbol like the 360. But ur right, maybe it has nothing to do with the 360. What it could also be is a hint to the next Metal Gear (NOT Metal Gear Solid) only becuz it has "Metal Gear" in the name. Maybe a remake of the original and first Metal Gear? Who knows...

Another theory that I've heard is that it means "iPhone + Ac!d = it's on"

I mean it's just a power symbol. It's on a lot more things than the 360.

I know its just a power symbol, even the wii has a power symbol. Its just that its green and the color for Xbox is... well, green. If its on the iPhone, then things might get crazy.

i really wish they would make a mgs for 360 , i beat all the mgs' so far since mgs2 except four..so i guess i onnly beat two , no three i beat the original remake on the gamecube

Metal Gear Solid 4 will NOT go to the 360. This is because in order for the 360 to get a perfect port of MGS4, it would need multiple discs due to the fact that the 360 uses DVD format and the PS3 uses Blu-ray. Although it's technically possible, the production costs to make multiple discs would be through the roof.

Also, Kojima enjoys working with the PS3, so most (if not, all) of his games would be PS3-exclusive. He's not a sellout, he actually enjoys his work. This also reduces the chance of any future Metal Gear games on the 360 to near-zero.

So you see, it's extremely unlikely that the 360 will ever get a Metal Gear game.

I'm not a fanboy of any console even if I enjoy xbox live over psn but I need to straighten things out here. In the NXE (new xbox experience) dashboard update, they added quad layer dvd support. This said, the games can now hold up to 22GB if not a little more. MGS4 is 48GB. Oh my it will never fit in there, said the little ••••••ed kid reading such thread. To say the truth, the entire game in about 18GB with the extra 30GB filled up with blank data to make the game load faster. Sony's using their own format which can contain an incredible amount of data, sadly, the ps3 could never get a game that would fit the entire disc. Even if it goes on 360, I'm sure the devs will prefer Sony over microsoft and release all their games earlier on the ps3. I wont get it since I already have it for ps3 but I'm sure a couple of peeps will enjoy playing it on their 360 and have a blast.
