Sonic The Hedghehog Is Still The Best!

Does anybody on FC still appreciate Sonic as a worthy game purchase and character....I dunno bout you guys but I still have my Sega Genesis and still have all my Sonic games....I miss the days of when turning Super Sonic was ACTUALLY AN EPIC EVENT....when you wanted to collect the chaos (and the Super) emeralds you had to get all the all the BLUE spheres and even though these games are on Sonic Mega Collections on Gamecube...I still love Sonic and he always has a space in my heart when it comes to game purchases......(or downloads if I'm poor lol)....What does everybody else think?

Also, I wanna know what everybody else thinks about the new Sonic games that have come out!

I'm not as hardcore of a Sonic fan as you are, but yes, I do remember the good old days. I used to love the old Sonic games, they were so much fun. I remember, back before my parents let us have video game consoles, we got one of those fake systems that had a few sample games on them. Sonic was on there, and I would sit there for hours trying to beat the game! Haha.

As for the newer games. They're...alright. Defenitally not as good as the older Sonic games, in my opinion. They just seem different, and not as classic to me. I have played some and enjoyed them, though. So not all bad! I just prefer the older games, is all. ;D

I love sonic ^_^ and sonic unleashed was pretty good but werehog failed epicly and sonic and the secret rings= EPIC DIVEBOMB (That game was horrific)

I agree Secret Rings was a stupid game....so random doesn't even fit in with any of the other Sonic games that came out....just complete DUMB and I don't own Sonic Unleashed (YET) but I've seen the almost all the cutscenes on youtube and it looks great to me.....I just think the whole werewolf thing is stupid cuz Sonic is a hedgehog not a werehog! Sonic Team needs to go back to the basics.....BUT I'm not a hater...I'm actualli Sonic's #1 fan but I just criticize out of love for Sonic games to regain its former glory lol :)

Aw man, Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2 were just amazing on the Genesis. I still ahve that somewhere, I've really wanted to play it again lately.

It's new to the sonic series... The rest is just bits and pieces from other games.

Everything up to Sonic Adventure 2 was plain awesome; probably just as good as Mario games like 64 and Sunshine...

But Sonic Heroes, Shadow, SonicTH 2006, etc. were terrible (ESPECIALLY SonicTH 2006...I couldn't stand it.)

But yesterday, I was just playing Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and I can't believe I was so addicted to the Sonic/Shadow stages. If only the games were just like them, there wouldn't be hate. But hence the Werehog and guns and cursing and slow-vehicles, hate comes along.

And yes, the Werehog was uncalled for...Sonic Unleashed would've been PERFECT if it weren't for the Werehog levels.
