Xbox 360 reliable?

Wow imagine how crappy you'd feel bringing home a brand new 360 and setting it up just so it can RROD right in front of you. =(

That is pretty much happend to me except my brother had it for a while then he let me put it in my room and after an hour it died.

(The strange thing is my friend brought a perfectly fine xbox to mine set it up in my room then it broke, he got a new one later on and brought it over again and it broke when it went in my room and then that's when I got my bros in my room and that broke too.)

I know this is a joke but here's mine:

Everything Microsoft makes is defective! Examples:

1. Windows Vista- I'm a PC tech and I've heard almost every complaint about this os that there is....(it's that bad!)

2. MS's Zune MP3 players- On January 1st 2009 all of them basically turned into bricks(the screen went black) for a few weeks due to a programing bug in the firmware(it got fixed). Look it up on a good news site ^^

3. Red rings of death- personally I will never trust an Xbox 360. This is probably just me, but I have several hundred thousand(exact numbers are hard to come by but let's just say it's pretty darn high) Xbox 360s to back me up. The Jasper does little to change my view as the last revision didn't get rid of it either....

Now I just see this as a running gag and hopefully MS will stop making this junky stuff XD

well out of my 3 friends that bought the 360, all theirs broke within 6 months.

They really need to turn it into the rare ring of death soon. It doe actually effect sales too of my friend already moved onto the ps3.

The new 360's usually do not experience this unless it is the consumer's fault due to overplaying, mistreating the xbox, etc. The only exception would really be factory error. My 360 has lasted quite awhile, and I have only seen the red ring on other xbox's due to abuse.
