I know I am! I remember me and my cousin staying up all night playing it.
It's release date is September 15, 2009
New playable characters: Songbird, Ironfist, Gambit, Hulk, The vision, Jean grey, Green goblin, Penance and the Juggernaut. Theres also going to be characters, costumes, etc. available as downloadable content.

I might pre-order it, If I don't my cousin will probably start whining at the fact that he can't play as his "favorite character"

Meh, this sounds cool, but I haven't heard much reason to get this over the Greatest Hits version of the original (which is literally half the price).
