Do violent video games cause behavior problems?

I don't think so; people who is influenced by violent games already have behavior problems, the games are just the trigger...

Man, its the mentally unstable who go bezerk when they play violent games! I've been playing GTA 3, State of Emergency, True Crime, and all of that for the past 10 years (since I was 6) and I have not yet considered killing someone. However I do recall me asking my cousin if he wanted to play GTA with toy guns when we were really young. My parents always told me as long as I can separate reality and fantasy, im good to go.

I don't necessarily think it does. I think its all about how you were raised personally. I have played certain violent video games for years now and I'm perfectly fine.

nope I played and seen lots of violent games the first violent game I played was mortal kombat and I grew up fine

Just watch the news. The news is often more violent than video games. I'm just saying people are exposed to violence every day and video games often get blamed. I also agree nature and nurture play a huge role in violent acts and people and that video games could be a trigger or catalyst for expolsive or extreme behavior issues. I remeber playing of all games Tetris and feeling agitated for a few hours after. Not once did I feel the urge to stack blocks in an orderly manner. I'm just pointing out things don't have to be violent to trigger a reaction. There could be any number of things that aren't video gaming related to trigger a violent out bursts.

I full agree. If you were already bad and u play Violent games well then it will make u even worse. But If you were good and play violent games well it will make a little difference but not as much.

I have an urge to jack a car and run over the nearest prostitute sometimes but otherwise no, I don't think videogames cause behavior problems.
