    Journey

Journey, a downloadable game exclusively for PS3 released recently, and I was wondering if any friendcodians have gotten it yet?
Heres a trailer for the uninformed: Journey Music Trailer [HD] - YouTube

I know the music is good, and the art looks great, but personally have yet to get it yet.

I heard it was less of a traditional game and more of an 'experiance', and also that it was quite short.

Is it worth 15$ and would you say there is any replayability?

    Thanks.

    Re: Journey

Whelp, since it looks like no one has played it either, I went ahead and bought Journey anyway.

What can I say about it?

Beautiful game. Great art style. Awesome and emotional music. A setting that makes you wish you could learn more about it's world. Extremely simple yet tight controls. An interesting new take on co-op. Zero dialogue, but you can produce musical sounds.

I really enjoyed it. I said that in the past tense by the way to reiterate what I had already heard before buying it: Its very short.
I'd say you should be able to beat it within 3 hours easy. But I would also say its very easy to pick up again and replay, collect the few trophies, or just wander. I've actually played it twice today, plus a lot of meditative wandering (thats right, meditative - this game is relaxing). I intend to play it some more tomorrow as well!

Is it worth $15? For me, yes, despite how short it is. It's the type of game I can load up after a stressful day to make me feel better.
If your looking for a more traditional game, then probably not.

Now, how can I contact thatgamecompany so they can just take more of my money in advance? I already know I'm buying their next game!

    Re: Journey

An experience indeed, and an amazing one at that. I started the game not knowing what to expect at all. At the beginning I was completely confused, not really knowing where to go and what the hell the game was about. Eventually I met up another player and the game changed for me. I actually had no idea if he was human or the computer at first, but the way we bonded, co-operated and communicated with the musical sounds I realized that he had to be human lol. I basically just let him lead the way since it seemed to me that he wasn't completely lost and new to this like I was.

But yea, I wouldn't consider this a video game. It's much more than that. An absolutely beautiful experience that everyone should witness. It was pretty short, yeah (about 3 hours), but there're endless reasons to pick it up again after the first playthrough.

I wanna cry just thinking about it T_T
