A Request Topic on Music Composers

I would like to discuss in detail of everyone's preferred music composers. My business is going great and will be launching our films soon however I require some music composers of games. The kind of music score I would really like is more with futuristic touch with some key elements from ancient worlds mixed. The emotion to thrive for is desperation, devastation, and hope. Some tracks will contain sorrow while others danger. There will be tracks with triumph in their tone and the only voices to be in there are choir (like in Assassin's Creed soundtracks by Jesper Kyd). Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated and I would love to hear what some folks find epic, passionate, and overall beautiful music to thrive for.

Though I don't know the composers look at games like Bastion and Uncharted. They have a good soundtrack.

Jeremy Soule is my favorite video game composer. He usually does RPGs, and is best known for his work on The Elder Scrolls series, as well as Guild Wars, and Never Winter Nights.

Oh have you given a listen to Nobuo Uematsu? His music is freakin great. He's the one who's composed the music for a lot (if not most) of Final Fanatsy games. He even does world tours with an orchestra to show case his best tunes of FF music! He also has a rock band called the Black Mages where he plays some of the heavier songs of the Final Fanatasy series. I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for but I hope this helps!

Yea, Greg Edmonson composed the Uncharted series OST. I've been a fan of his for a few years now. He mostly composes for movies though. Then again...most OST for video games now sound like movie soundtracks anyway with this whole "cinematic gaming" craze. I'm personally of fan of the fad.

I don't know any music composers, so I did some research. I found out that the Alph Lyla sound team did Street Fighters II.

    ^Beautiful sig done by Blake.
