Bleh: Unwarranted Hate!

Have you ever hated on a game simply because it was popular? How many times were they games you never played? And how many times did you find that, once you actually played it, that it actually wasn't that bad? Or how many times did you find that they truly, truly unworthy of its praise?

Have you ever liked a game, until you realized it was popular, or had its popularity intensify your dislike towards a game into dire loathing? Have you ever hated a game because you knew that people would overlook your favorite game so they could play that more popular game instead?
Or have you ever hated on a game, simply because so many other people tend to do so?

And for all you wanna-be philosophers, why do you think this happens?

In short, have you ever had some hatred towards a game that may be unwarranted?

Well I'm kind of a casual gamer. I kinda hate when a game that's just supposed to be fun becomes way too competitive :/.
This is part of the reasson why I don't really play SSBB anymore. It was fun at first but then it just started to be the same thing with every match so it got boring...
I can't say that I hate the game, but I hate what it has become.

I liked Animal Crossing until I started not liking it b/c the game got boring.

That's a good example! I feel the same way about pokemon sometimes. Yeah it's fun to have a competitive battle everyonce in a while, but it's rare to find someone who will just battle for fun and not competitive based!

Not because it was popular but because of how flawed and bugged it was. I've run across 20 different problems in Red Dead Redemption in the first 4% of the game alone. One major problem during Poker when the NPC lost all texture, their faces, sounds, they became a jumbled mess, motions were even more choppy, etc. The controls are also a problem for me from time to time but another HUGE issue I have is the horse AI, it's caused me many failed missions, couldn't save people in time because the dang thing would get stuck somehow in some odd object (inside it, between it, on top of it, etc), I've been killed because my guy wouldn't respond to my commands and would get shot up, etc.

I would press the Triangle button which tells you to get off of the horse, right? I pressed it behind a big rock while the horse was still moving, I pressed it repeatedly, GET OFF, the guy then FINALLY starts to move well past the next couple of rocks and hops off, I try to tell him to turn around, he would SLOWLY turn then I died. Thanks, all those Game of the Year awards really don't mean much if such problems like that arise often.

Anyways i never think about this about anygame. But i would never AGAIN play any sports games of almost anykind because the controls seem so weird to me these days :/

I used to like playing S4 League, but then most people i knew played it, and then i heard their friends playing it. Sorry, i just like to know I'm playing something original :/ , minus the fact that I get owned at games i play with others. Plus, now S4 is just on my hdd taking up space.
