World of Warcraft?

Allright so I'm wondering, what do you guys think of WOW? Personally I hate it because a bunch of my friends have gotten addicted and now they hardly do anything cool anymore in fact they actually ditch doing stuff IRL in favor or playing that infernal game. Also I despise any "fantasy" that revolves around "oh look... the elfs and orks aren't getting along...again" But before I go off on a WOW hating tangent, what do you guys think of the game?

I play Phantasy Star Universe (going to get expansion tomorrow) , so I don't care much about WoW.

Personally I think WoW is stupid. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if the online community wasn't a bunch of fricking losers that have no lives. If I'm playing a game, I want to play with cool people I can talk to, not losers with no lives, which is what WoW is. Personally I think Diablo 2 kicks the hell outta WoW.

How good of you to make an option about the passive WoW player. I do much appreciate it.

I live with several people that are addicted to WoW and was, at one point, addicted myself. :3 Level 70 Undead Warlock on Maelstrom. I sold my account and stopped playing for about 7 months. Now, I'm playing again, but only leveling passively and not spending my life on it. I enjoy the game but it just gets boring after 3 hours of grinding quest mobs. Then again, the game is boring until end-game content like raids... Oh well.

MMO's in general are overrated. I mean, the games usually are SOOO derivative. I mean, what sick person enjoys stabbing boars for 6 hours straight?

and it looks like a game i would not enjoy, i've never played it but i have heard of people getting addicted.

i have a friend who is addicted to maple story.

Yo benbob! I played WoW for a month but it fooked out my computer so I uninstalled it. It was pretty fun. I had a level 19 night elf (I know beat that!), then of course Burning Crusade came out so I had like a level 5 Blood elf. Bleh it's a pretty good game if only they'd make it for the 360. I don't like PC games. I know ALOT of people who are obsessed with WoW!! It's addictive... :(
