it also depends on how many of your friends have an xbox or ps3 and what kind of exclusives you like and the pros and cons.

Well, lets be honest. The pros and cons is a pretty hard argument to make, because they're both so damn similar.

So, here's what I think

Factors for buying either a PS3 or 360:

• Exclusives
• Friends
• Paying for Xbox Live Vs Free Playstation Network.

No, Midnight702 is right. The Xbox 360 Elite only got about a $150 price cut from the original price, while the PS3 got a $300 price cut. And I think he also meant that the PS3 is of more value now, no matter how you look at it, fanboy or not.

PS3: WiFi, free PSN, Blu-Ray player
Xbox 360: XBL and.....can't think of anything else that can compete with the PS3 except the games.

I'm NOT being a fanboy. But I just can't think of anything that would make the Xbox 360 the better choice other than the games. And now, since the PS3 has great games, there's hardly any discussion to be made.

True. But the Xbox 360's best games are from the past (besides ODST and Left for Dead 2). Don't know if this is actually true or not, but I only see new PS3 exclusives coming out. This is excluding multi-platform games. Also, I think Halo can be played on PC ;P

I'll hop in on this conversation as well. As for the whole thing on only 360's past games being good, look forward. Things like Halo Reach and Assassins Creed 2(not just talking exclusives here) are good. I'm not much of a Call of Duty person, but Modern Warfare 2 comes out soon I believe. But the PS3 has some of the best exclusives around, like the Metal Gear franchise and Resistance. I'd go with 360 though, because I need my Halo

The 360 is most definitely not lagging behind. Exclusives like Left 4 Dead 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction are coming out soon, as well as Crackdown 2 and Halo Reach a bit later. There are several other great exclusives coming out, but the ones I listed are the ones im looking forward to the most.
