Before you buy - Pros/Cons: Xbox360/PS3

With the demand for 'Other Consoles' on the rise the need to compare is sparked, thats why I'm providing this thread for the members to openly discuss the PS3 and Xbox 360 infamous Pros/Cons.

However, with such a topic comes certain rules:

1. I cannot stress this enough, respect your fellow members.
2. Post with maturity, if you lack maturity, your post will be removed plus Infractions will be issued.
   
3. Do not Flame, purposely cause ridiculously arguments or use explicit language.
4. Above all, give honest informative responses, not bias fanboy remarks because those will greet you with a nice Infraction.
5. Lastly, this is Other Gaming, please keep all Nintendo Discussions in the appropriate forum sections.

-Great gaming library
-Cheap Accessories, great variety
-HD(High Definition) compatible
-USB keyboard/mouse compatible
-Xbox Live Marketplace
-Decent price range
-Good Graphics
-Voice/Webcam chat support


-Cons-

-Must pay for Live
-Occasional 'breaking down' problem
-Needs more outstanding exclusives
-HD television isn't required but enhances games
-Xbox support sometimes sketchy
-Minor Lag occasionally

-Accessories expensive
-Online community needs to grow
-Little expensive if wanting to step beyond 80gb

PS3 Pro:
1. Doesnt break down easily.
2. Free online
3. Has blue ray

PS3 Cons:
1. Cost alot.
2. Not alot of my friends have it(dunno about u guys)


360 Pro:
1. Online is the pwnage

360 Cons:
1. Dies alot
2. You HAVE to pay for online gaming
3. Dies alot

I know i missed some pros and cons on both of em but i cant think straight right now sorry :p

I've been working on an in depth review/comparison for quite some time. This seems like a good place to put some of that information.

360:
Pros: Excellent Online Support in Console Gaming - Decent Price.
Cons: Lack of assorted Genres, Not much support from Japanese developers, power issues.

PS3:
Pros: Strong Console engine, Superb Graphics, Support from Big name Developers (SquareEnix) Assorted Game genres.
Cons: Price.

Okay, lets look at the libraries here, since most people have already touched on the consoles themselves. For one test, I found out how many GOOD E/E10 games there were for each system. Here were my results:
Viva Pinata (360)
Ratchet and Clank Future (PS3)

Really, those were the only ones I found. So lets move on to budget titles, where the 360 REALLY wins, thanks to a large back-catalog of underappreciated hits from the launch window. Seriously, what did the PS3 have at launch other than Resistance? Gundam? and even then, it was a whole YEAR after the 360 came out.
