The real fate of the 80GB PS3

Well, it turns out that is not true. What HAS been discontinued, was the bundle with Motorstorm.

This is because in a few months, a new bundle will made available. This new bundle, released on June 12th, will include an 80GB Playstation 3, a Dualshock 3 controller, and Metal Gear Solid 4. All for the same price of the former Motorstorm package.

Not quite a price drop, but I'll take it.

All you people who didn't believe me when I said Sony wouldn't leave us high and dry with just a 40gb, well, hate to say I told you so.

Note to self, buy this. Am I saving money by buying MGS4 with this bundle?

For sure. It's the same price as the 80GB was before, but now with a better game and better controller.

I'm considering getting a PS3 in the next few months, and I personally am not looking forward to MGS4 at all, so I wish the deal was Motorstorm + the Dualshock 3 controller still. (I'm going to buy Motorstorm when I get a PS3 anyway.) Oh well. I guess I'll just get the 40gb. I'll end up saving money that way since I don't want MGS4... right?

Blah, I'm going to make a thread for this in a minute Snakepit. Since you're the PS3 expert, I expect you to answer all my questions. ;P

I really wish this was announced sooner though, Metal Gear was the main reason I got one of these devices.
