Wtf Xbox Live

Why do you have buy gold membership for EACH gamertag on your 360? Why can't you just buy 1 year gold membership card, put it into your system and let all the gamer tags on the system have gold membership?

That is kinda annoying. Especially when you want to play co-op online, some games (GoW) require every player (on one console) to have a gold account to go online... Lame.

Yeah for real! I have 4 brothers and we all play live. So thats REALY expensive. Microsoft should realy change that.

I know how you feel dude. i just got a 360 and halo3. i got a gold membership. but now my little brother wants to play.I make him a profile. he wants to go online. he uses mine so he can do all the good stuff. before i know it I'm at the bottom of the ranks again because he sucks at halo and i have to do it all over again...it's annoying

Its really expensive, yet people still pay for it... So why would Microsoft want to change it, they make loads of money from it.

Besides, Xbox Live is £40 for a whole year... Thats less than £1 a week. =]

Microsoft sure knows how to reel in the cash. You guys with brothers probably think it's a bad thing, which is completely understandable. However, not having any brothers myself, I actually like the fact that it goes by account rather than by console. Because if I were on another Xbox, I'd be able to sign into my account and be able to play online even if no one purchased a gold membership on that Xbox. Furthermore, if my Xbox, for some reason, died then I wouldn't have to worry about transferring my membership to the new console (though all my downloads would be a different story).

Doesn't it work like Nintendo? Once you buy them, you own them and can download them as many times as you want?

Because if not... I'm screwed if something goes wrong with my harddrive ;p
