Mad about FFXIII on Xbox 360? Rumor about PS3 Final Fantasy exclusive

If you're going to simply copy and paste and article, at least include your own opinion on the topic below it. One of my biggest pet peeves is people just copying and pasting to create new threads.

Anyway, onto the topic. I love the fact that FFXIII is coming to the 360 for several reasons. The main one being that I'm a 360 owner and not a PS3 owner; and the 360 is in desperate need of some solid RPG's. It can't go on forever living off of FPS games, so Fable 2 and FFXIII will give the console some variety.

Furthermore, it's really a slap in the face to Sony. Final Fantasy is a huge franchise and the Playstation systems were home to the vast majority of its big games (yeah Nintendo had some FF games, but let's face it, not nearly as epic). While I do like the direction that Sony is headed with the PS3, I really don't like them still.

Grudges aside, I'm just really excited to play one of the most beautiful looking games I've seen trailers for.

Well, not competition, rivalry. Similar sort of thing.

I'm kool with it. Anyway Sony doesn't own Final Fantasy, so Its not like it's that surprising. Anyway, it won't be "360 exclusive" so I don't see what the fuss is about.

We know Sony doesn't own Final Fantasy, but it had exclusive rights with Square Enix. Square has since moved to other platforms like Nintendo, and now to Microsoft with XIII.

While XIII won't be 360 exclusive, the big deal is more the fact that Sony has lost one of its big franchises. A huge gain for Microsoft, and a loss for Sony. FFXIII was the type of game core Final Fantasy fans would buy a PS3 for, and now that it's migrating over to the 360, Sony will most likely see sales drop because of that. Also, more people will buy the 360 now that it has FFXIII, on top of other 360 exclusives like Gears of War.

To me, this is a huge move for Microsoft and Square Enix. Think of the possibilities in the future and the potential that Microsoft has to surge further ahead of Sony.
