Why do people spam xbox live users about Halo 3 Recon Armor offers?

It's just some armor that you get from Bungie for doing something special + it doesn't make you stronger or good. Digitalp33r has it. He does the Deus Ex Machina and Arby 'n' the Chief shows on Machinima and youtube. I was one of the users that got spammed by two xbox live users about recon armor offers. P.S. please to all friendcodes users don't spam me about it either.;)

lol there's recon and flaming recon. The armor is just supposed to look cool (which it does) and the head is on fire. Ppl just send pics of recon to random halo 3 users because it was rumored you could earn it by doing so. but it isnt true. ;) ppl get it by doing things that would never happen in halo. One guy got it by sniping himself in the head and another got it by sniping a cone and splattering the opponent with it.

I believe the fad is over because i haven't recieved a recon pic in a while.

The flaming recon armor is for Bungie employees only. All this stuff u have to do just to get one stupid piece of armor is pretty dumb. Just give it as an unlockable when u reach a certain rank or something.
