Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Xbox 360

I don't get it, I crack the game open and investigate for myself and all I can find are 1kb null files that don't get booted while running yet are used to mirror the game files which are situated on the side of the disc. Technically, I could remove the null files or scrub them (other term to remove useless load files to make illigal downloads faster) and play the full game with slightly longer load times.

explain this:The game developers decided that they didn't any ANY compressed sound files on the game disc, as they believed that it wouldn't sound as good as uncompressed files. that's what a bulk of that non-essential game data is.

What do sound files have to do with it? The sound running is simply an ingame cutscene that plays ingame and is built in a video file... that's how the kameo engine works. No "sound files" on the disc.

I'll be waiting for an answer.

Edit: You know what, that might have been Far Cry 2 I was thinking of when I was talking about some things being compressed. It was in an interview, but I now I can't remember what game it was for.

Ummm... k? Stating facts and knowledge and I found it quite ironic that someone would make a threads how it's impossible for something to happen when it's highly possible.

MGS4 takes up one dual layer Blu-Ray disc. That's 50 gb. That means it would have to be spread out on 5 discs for it to go on the 360 (Less if layered). Not to mention this is the first game to actually take more than 50% of the PS3's power to run it. That means it would take one and a half Xbox 360's to run the game.

I'm sorry to anyone that still believed this will happen for some reason, and that I'm the one to have to be the one to the stamp down this rumour once and for all. But It's not simply a matter of it being an exclusive, it's a matter of it being impossible. Halo 3 on the PS3 is more likely to happen than this, simply because the PS3 could handle Halo 3.
