Using the mic without a wii-mote

Is there any way to use the mic on Guitar Hero without using a Wii-mote as well. Me and my 2 brothers got Guitar Hero World Tour this morning and were really excited to play it as a band. We only have 2 wii-motes,but that shouldn't be a problem because the mic doesn't use a remote, right? WRONG! We have not been able to play together yet because you need a remote JUST to log in and that is it! It seems very pointless to just have a Wii-remote that sits there while you sing.. Is there anyway to get around this feature? We have 3 gamecube controllers as well. I don't know if that helps..

nope, you need it. I hate this, and that is why I purchased rock band, because none of the instruments require the wii mote, they use the usb. I also have gh:wt, but only with the guitar.

That sucks.. So there is no way to trick the game into thinking there is a Wii-mote and then connecting it to the drums?

I would have thought that too, but Nintendo didn't make World Tour. Activision did.

It's what I don't like about the Wii. The WiiMotes have to be everywhere... Except for Rock Band. I have Guitar Hero World Tour with Guitar, it's enough for me, not going to buy more remotes just to unlock the other instruments; It'll be more expensive. To this, I say if you don't want to buy other WiiMotes, Buy Rockband I Or II

You can't play mic unless you have a Wii-mote. You need a Wii-mote in order to play mic because you need the Wii-mote to log in the mic. The game cannot detect if there is a mic in the USB port by itself. Yes, it sucks, but the Wii just ain't smart enough. It can't even make pie!
