mkds has teh:
~ less luck hax
~ no funky kong hax
~ no giant mush hax
~ less character hax
~ snaking/non-snaking givz erebudee a chans to be gud @ teh gaym

Both forced you to just use three vehicles to play competitively (MKDS: Dry Bomber, Egg1, ROB BLS, MKW Mach Bike, Flame Runner, Bullet Bike), plus MKW has character stats that make a noticeable difference in tt's. Still, I like MKWii better. It's just more exhilarating, with vr and all, plus 12 pros in a room is more... crazy than four, rofl.

MKW has 12 players online, which = 10x item rapage. TT rankings are screwed up with hackers and they included bikes in the game. :\

MKDS is a more balanced package, wifi is more controlled, prb, snaking are an excellent addition for hardcore time trialer's like myself. :)

I lost my Mario Kart DS for a long while, then found out earlier this year and then i realized that i lost it a couple of months ago.
Overall Wii is better, much easier to play multiplayer, bigger screen, etc.

I liked Mario kart Ds better, mostly cause you gain random points on mart kart wii wifi I got 60 points and the second place person got 300, and we were the same rank and everything)
In mario kart Wii, theres nothing you can do about being hit 8 times in a race with a blue shell, I've had to reset mirror mode cups so many times because of this >.>
and most of the character in mario kartt wii are just so pointless (baby dasiy, funky kong).
