Avoiding Pow blocks is easy! - 04-28-08

Well i was looking on ign.com and I saw how you can dodge pow blocks. So now i decided to share it with you, Friendcodes.

I only now how to dodge using the wii wheel.

When the pow block appears on your screen wait till its at the smallest it gets and then flick the wii wheel up as it slams down. You will spin out but you will lose no speed and items.

Please note that I already made a thread out of it.
Also is it really true that karts can't wavespin(possible name for the technique)?
If it is so then bikes would dominate MK Wii and I doubt Nintendo wants to ruin the fine balance between karts and bikes.

Or there could be a hidden kart tech to counter it?

I think you can still press brake as soon as you get hit..
like in all the other Mario Kart games, to 'Reduce' the spin out time..

Its just a different technique with the bikes..
you just do a wheelie to 'reduce' your spin out time

Those fancy words hurt my brain, and it sounds suspiciously like what happened to Smash Bros.

Yes, that is a way to minimise damage, but with the wavespin you don't lose any speed at all.
Karts are still vulnerable to POW Blocks.

Sorry for firing all those terms at you, I thought I might start name the technique other then:"fling-at-the-right-time-upwards-when-a-pow-hits-you" technique.

I see, then I'll have to wait and see for myself when Brawl comes out in the Pal Regions.
