    Angry 86070!?

This problem didn't exist at first. I could log on, and play easily. Then after a while, I would be randomly dc'd with this code. As time went on, I would be dc'd from this the first time I logged on and tried to face somebody. This problem has progressively gotten worse, and worse. Now I'm on my tenth try, and I still haven't gotten to play anybody because of this •••• code. Every time I connect, and search for an opponent, I get disconnected with the error code being this:
    ERROR: 86070
DISCONNECTED FROM NETWORK DURING DATA TRANSMISSION.
and I get that stupid elevator music.

Unlike ACWW, this isn't a router problem. I'm using the USB connector for the Wii only, and getting this error code repeatedly. Does anybody else see where I'm coming from or know how I can fix it?

Perhaps try using your Router for the Wii. I find that it works nearly 100% of the time with a Router, and works 20% of the time with a USB connector. ( My own personal experiences). Vice Versa for the DS.

    Re: 86070!?

    Well, I tried this:

    1. Putting my Wii under water for 10 seconds. - It made it work for like another day.

    2. Dropping my Wii down the stairs. - Made it work for a long time.

    3. Dropped it down the stairs AND put it in water for 20 seconds. - It has worked ever since.

    **DISCLAIMER**
I my methods don't work or break your Wii, I am in no way responsible.

PS: That was a joke. Don't anyone try it. o.o

    Here is what Nintendowifi.com said:

    Error Code: 86070

This particular error is typically caused by a firewall interfering with a successful connection to the Nintendo WFC. Please read the following information.

    1. Do you receive this error every time you try and connect?
    * If you receive this error every time, please proceed to step #2 on this page.
    * If you receive this error only when playing a particular friend, then it is likely a problem with the friend's firewall settings on their connection. If possible, recommend to your friend that they visit the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection help area of http://support.nintendo.com for possible solutions.

    2. Ensure your router has the latest firmware installed. Visit your router manufacturer?s website and look for any updated firmware that may be available (these are typically found under "downloads" or by searching for your particular model number). Contact your router manufacturer for additional assistance.

    3. If the above information does not solve your problem, you may consider adjusting your router's Port Forwarding settings*. Each router is unique, so consult the owner's manual for your router or contact the manufacturer for specific information on working with your router's ports. For your information:
    * If you are prompted for a device or profile name, you can enter anything you like (such as Wii, etc.).
    * The starting port to open is 1, the ending port to open is 65535 (or as high as the router will allow).
    * Protocols will need to be set to UPD only.
    * Set the IP address for the ports to forward to the same as the Wii's static IP that you assigned in the previous step on this page.

If you are still unable to connect, please call 1-800-255-3700 in the USA or Canada for more information.

*While Nintendo provides this information for our consumers' use, it is up to each consumer to determine what security needs they have for their own networks, and to decide how best to configure their network settings to meet those needs.
Hope that helped in some way or another.

I just put the USB connector back in because I couldn't stand the Wii's slow connection with it. I cannot go back to using the router for the Wii. :(

I finally connected, and it's working pretty well. I can only imagine what will happen tomorrow... This gets worse day by day. Pretty soon, I won't be able to connect at all.

@Chris. You had me at putting the Wii underwater for 10 seconds.

    Sorry, elevator music....
I get this error code a lot, too. I thought it was just something that just happened. I don't remember who said that. It doesn't have anything to do with your USB Connector/router.
