Regardless of the commercial success of these second-wave bands, there is always a boom of them two to three years after the explosion of the original, and the record labels are more than complicit in snatching them up in the hopes of cashing in on the sound. Regardless of the commercial success of said second wave bands, they never ring as true as the first wave nor does history shine as kindly upon them; there is a Bush to every Nirvana, a Poison to every Motley Crue, a Limp Bizkit to every Candiria. Unfortunately for Bullet for My Valentine, the Welsh quartet are not doing much to disprove this rule. The band members are certainly proficient musicians and able songwriters, but there’s nothing here that hasn’t already been done before and done better in the peaking sub-genre of metalcore. While the band’s debut album The Poison wasn’t earth-shattering either, it at least had instantly gratifying hooks-a-plenty that made listening rewarding and enjoyable, even if in the simplest ways (nothing wrong with a great hook!). While Scream, Aim, Fire lacks in the innovation department, for the most part it also lacks in the hook department, making it an album that should prove largely forgotten once the sun has set on the burgeoning metalcore trend.
Yes, I found that on a website. No, I'm not saying they suck just because somebody else says they do. I just don't feel like typing right now.

YES to both. I'll have to look into those other bands. :3
If you haven't heard of Pavement, I suggest you do it ASAP.

Shame too, for they all are cool.

Check out Infected Mushroom, Mum and maybe Skinny Puppy. I think you'd definitely like the first two. Both Aphex Twin and Animal Collective have a very 'Psytrance' sound to them. Look up the songs Becoming Insane and Converting Vegitarians by Infected Mushroom. Then, look up The Island of Children's Children, Will the Summer Make Good for All of Our Sins, Blessed Brambles and Dancing Behind My Eyelids by Mum.
Kk. Now that I'm home, I can go through my library...
Pavement
Hilltop Hoods
Hurt
Black Light Burns
Emilie Autumn(Gothic Industrial Victorian stuff. Very interesting. Plus, she's hot and plays the violin like no other)
Boards of Canada(Vana would probably like them too)
AIR(I'd be surprised if any of you would be able to find anything by them)
The Dollyrots(They're alright)
The Exploited(Hell yeah PUNK!)
Ween
And that's about it for my list of unknown bands... Given, I just scanned over my entire library real quick... Hopefully, some of you will find a new sound that you enjoy somewhere in there. =D
