Does anyone remember when the Nintendo website brought The Protomen to viewers' attentions? I enjoy popping them in once in a while. Act II isn't out yet, is it? It's been a while...
Anyone heard of Select Start's album The Rotary? I don't know why, but the lyrics just stick with me.
I would mention All Time Low, but with their plan with touring with Fall Out Boy, they aren't under the radar anymore. Probably doesn't signal the best for their future musical stylings either (the music style wasn't exactly spectacular in the second album imo).
Tears of Mars is a cool band. Local to me, and seems to be doing alright for themselves. They just released their second album on itunes. I'm hoping to see them at my local Hot Topic on the 20th. (Their newest CD came out January 31st I believe)
Everyone knows who TV on the Radio is, right? It's so easy to get lost in their beat...
Edit: Their first two albums and first EP were under the radar. Their first EP is pretty good. Check out the song "Sattelite" It's different, so it's ok if you don't like it. All I know is that I really, really do.
The Capricorns? Such an interesting ensemble there.
Pavement? I really like their song "Stereo". Neato lyrics going on there, and even the way they play the music sends a message. So deep, so beautiful.
I don't really know how popular these bands are in big terms, I guess they're relatively not big? Dunno. I just like listening to music that I enjoy, you know?
