Saw is actually traps and mazes. Paranormal Activity is just a group of people trapped ina house being recorded by a Hidden Camera and there are ghosts in the house :P. But everyone has there own opinions :)

They aren't really that good anyways so you aren't missing much.

Slasher horror films are a turn-off for me. They try hard to be scary, but just end up being disturbing.

That being said, I didn't find the Paranormal Activity trilogy to be very scary at all, especially since you never actually see anything.

I think Saw is interesting, but not really scary. Same with the Paranormal Activity movies. Not that many horror movies scare me.

paranormal activity is more of a horror film as it involved ghosts and the like. saw just has a lot of red in it.

Saw is more gore. I love gore.
