I only read the first couple of posts so sorry if I'm repeating somebody...

You're using way to much smudging in your sigs and it stands out to much, smudging is fine but you need it to blend, not just "let me copy n paste some google pictures and smudge them like crazy". Look at my signature/avatar, I smudged it but you can't really see unatractable brush strokes that go every wich way. You also shouldn't base your sigs on just copy and pasted pictures....Like your current sig looks like you pasted a background, a render then a smiley face button. A sig will look a lot better with effects, and make sure it fits the signature. A border will also add to the sig, and you don't neccesarily need crazy fonts, Arial and Times New Roman are the best if you know how to make it look good. I strongly suggest reading some tutorials on gimptalk.com or look them up on youtube.

I'm not insulting you , I'm offering advice so don't get mad, but you have a good start.

Thank you for the advice....I do need to do more...but I just haven't learned all of the ropes to Gimp yet.

Check out some tutorials and than branch off doing your own things with some of the stuff you learned for the tutorials.

That's how I learned quickly, now I'm one of the best gimpers on the site. ^^
