Alright here we go! This is my first guide!
Making a Custom Template:
Things Required:MS Paint
Step 1:
Open MS Paint and make a square the size for a normal trainer card. I will use 228 x 150.

Step 2:
Find a background for your template. I recommend
Google or
deviantART: where ART meets application! . I like abstract so i will use that. Copy and paste it next to the box. You might need to make the MS Paint bigger.

Step 3: Drag the box over the background. Then erase everything outside of the box. Be careful that the settings are right as shown in the screenshot.

Step 4: Put four more squares around the TC so that it'll be thicker

Step 5: Make the corners look like it does in the screenshot. [The pixels added are in the color red and the pixels deleted is green] Now you have the basics.

Step 6:
Determine where you are going to put everything. I recommend using a rough draft [Making a Duplicate of your template and practice on that]. Experiment and be creative! Or you can use the one from the screenshot to inspire you.
Note for the Screenshot: P1, P2, P3 stands for the pokemon box, and the brown dots are gym badges.

Step 7:
Make your final draft. SAVE BEFORE YOU START IN CASE YOU MESS UP!
Tips:
A. I like to make boxes or circles for the Pokemon, but you can use any shape you want. Circles are a little more difficult to put the pokemon in, so i'll just use boxes.
B. You can download cool fonts on the Internet. I used
Dafonts to find my fonts. I recommend that your friend code is typed with an easy to read font.

C. Anything on your Pokemon that is the color white will disappear when you put it on your TC. To get it back, simply color it in with white again.
D. I do not recommend adding on to the outside of your trainer card like I did, or else your trainer card will end up with white sticking out [not good for sites without a white background]
Step 8:
Clean everything up! [Save as a .PNG file so it does not lose its quality]

Step 9: Go to tinypic.com and upload your trainer card there. Take the short link with ".png" at the end. Then put the picture in your sig if you want :D
Congrats! You did it! Now show off the trainer card you made! Also, Don't forget to post what you ended up with here :D
