My first Roy drawing... Please comment!

Use colored pencils next time.

First, I would use colored pencils. They are better than anything else.

Second, a few, tiny problems; the legs are somewhat awkward and the sword seems slightly dull. However, everything else is actually good(I like the arms the most)

As of now, I have a much better Roy drawing. I'll upload as soon as I can fix my scanner. XP

It's alright yeah,
In my sketches i dont colour them in, i coloured a ttar that i drew once and it toally ruined it,
So you you use sketch pencils?
If you do, Get the lightest pencil and sketch really lightly so you can rub out easily if theres a mistake, then use the next lightest pencil for the darker bits, then when your happy with everything, go over everythin in the darker pencil, if you think it will look better, colour it in but lightly so it doesnt ruin it.

Yes, shading is a very important part of sketchin, you need practice to shade perfectly, im not perfect either but you know..
