A red rose was all I was given that day. We all sat in a stuffy marble room listening people talk of him. But I wasn't listening. I was in a trance staring at this single red rose I was given, not yet sure of its purpose. I heard a trumpet singing beautifully behind me but I didn't turn around. I was still staring at this single red rose continuing to question why I was given it. The trumpets song eventually came to an end and at that moment I lifted my head and looked around this small marble room.
