I have installed this hack myself, and it's working great for me!

All you do is install the (hidden) channel/stub, and to run a DVD you have to use a homebrew called MPlayer, and a spesific version of it that use the DVD hack. You can download it here. Just run it through the Homebrew Channel as you would with any other homebrew, and your Wii playes DVD videos! xD
