So does Wii Speak work on Monster Hunter Tri without FC's??

Just Wondering if Wii Speak works WITHOUT FC's on TRI? before i buy it i'd like 2 know Thanks!!!!!

Ill just quote a post I made earlier concerning this...

I got it for Monster Hunter. So yeah, then I find out you cant use it with strangers *meaning you must be friends with the other person* .Even though I was hoping you will be able to use it with the party full of strangers that you went on a quest with, it really isnt much to send a friend request...but then I find out the other person MUST have WiiSpeak too for them to even hear you. Now I regret getting WiiSpeak because I have seen like one other person online with it ever since I got the game. The Conduit had it much better. So like right after I got WiiSpeak I had to go back out and buy a USB Keyboard to enjoy MH online at its fullest....
