I am new, recommend some games!

Newbie here. Just got a Nintendo DS after my Playstation 3 died and Wii was stolen...these are sad times. I love RPGS, games that look good, first person shooters, and anything pretty and unique. I only have one DS game so far, and it is Final Fantasy III, which I love. Oh, and I guess the weird cooking game that came with it. So...if you are bored, tell me your favorites and why. I am thinking my next purchase is Pokemon Platinum or Pearl. I don't like playing online much...

As far as RPG's go I would say Pokemon Platinum, FF4 or Dragon Quest. Those are just a few that i know are popular. I personally enjoy a wide range of genres. Rhythm Heaven, Animal Crossing and Rune Factory are some of my personal fav's. Enjoy the DS! The game library is huge and there is most definitely a wide range of games to try and love!

Pokemon is a great way to go. Not so much as a tradional game but Pokemon has made their name for themselves.

Metroid Prime hunters is still a fav FPS from back in the day as well.

Dx weird cooking game... guess not gonna like Cooking Mama then. Pokemon is my life so yeah >.> that but also for just fun there is Mario Kart which you can come race people here on FC with.

Since forever. Its not a classic RPG, but it has a fair amount of RPG elements so people call it an RPG.
