Sony has been falling behind Microsoft and Nintendo in the "Console Wars" for a while now, but it plans to get it's weight back up. Straight from
Aussie-Nintendo, the electronics giant says it will be changing it's focus more to the PS3's games now, not Blu-Ray, not using it as a second PC, but just the games.
Kaz Hirai, the big man at Sony, says
"The thing that I did when I took over last year was to boast the appeal of games themselves... The main premise of the PS3 is video games. That's the absolutely most important thing that we cannot lose sight of."
"We cannot allow Nintendo [to] run off alone.", Hirai also stated
Sony's approach is now more direct, they want to concentrate the PS3's focus on it's gaming aspect now. Does this mean the PS3 could possible pick up some of those Nintendo hardcore gamers that the
Wii has lost over the years? Can it win back some lost fans? Only time can tell, But Nintendo better watch out. Because Sony just picked itself back up and slipped on it's gloves. And it's trying to knockout the
Wii.
