Weeks ago, it was revealed what songs PS3 and Xbox 360 owners would be getting for Guitar Hero World Tour when it launched. However, news regarding
Wii content was (as usual) left out of the picture. But Red Octane and Activision have finally put us at ease, as starting from the 26th of October (yes I know, it was yesterday),
Wii owners will have downloadable songs awaiting them online.
From launch, Guitar Hero World Tour
Wii owners will be able to download the following.
Quote:
# An Endless Sporadic – "Anything" (free)
# Blind Melon – "No Rain" (200 Wii Points)
# Boston – "Rock and Roll Band" (200 Wii Points)
# Foreigner – "Hot Blooded" (200 Wii Points)
# Metallica – "Broken, Beat & Scarred" (200 Wii Points)
# Metallica – "Cyanide" (200 Wii Points)
# Metallica – "My Apocalypse" (200 Wii Points)
# Rick Springfield – "Jessie's Girl" (200 Wii Points)
# Sworn – "Electro Rock" (free)
# Ted Nugent's Original Guitar Duel (free)
# Zakk Wylde's Original Guitar Duel (free)

Songs will retail for 200
Wii Points by the looks of it, some of them even being made available for free. You'd be crazy not to pick up those songs straight away.
These songs are said to be made available to
Wii owners in the coming weeks. Don't worry, there is plenty more to come.
Quote:
# Oasis – "Bag it Up" (200 Wii Points)
# Oasis – "The Shock of the Lightning" (200 Wii Points)
# Oasis – "Waiting for the Rapture" (200 Wii Points)
# R.E.M. – "Horse to Water" (200 Wii Points)
# R.E.M. – "Man-Sized Wreath" (200 Wii Points)
# R.E.M. – "Supernatural Superserious" (200 Wii Points)

I applaud Vicarious Visions for what they have done with this game. By the looks of it, it's starting to look like a real competitor with Rock Band.
