DSi Will be Incompatable With Flash Cards

According to a user over at Chinese site Hacken, who managed to get the DSi before its scheduled release date of November 1, the new handheld will not work with any current slot-1 flash cards. Various flash card brands were tested, from the popular R4 to CycloDS, with each repeatedly failing to work.

Nintendo has pressed legal action against the manufactures of these flash cards over the past couple years, so it isn't that surprising that they have done this. This is bad news for hackers as well as any legit homebrew. But on the upside, this means piracy won't be an issue for Nintendo for now. It's only a matter of time until someone cracks it.

Interesting news, doesn't really effect me though because I'm a little goody-two-shoes and I only play games by the book... -.-

...Nintendo ones, anyway...

Errr... it won't make much of a difference unless Nintendo makes a whole new Animal Crossing for the DSi, and I doubt they would...

Well, yea true. Wait.. would this actually affect the us of ARDS? Given, people with the DS and DS Lite would still be able to hack.. but you wouldn't, hopefully, be able seed/hack etc. if you have a DSi. Course, they have to buy one first...

Someone will find a break in Nintendos Firmware and it will be hacked easily, especially because it has a SD card slot. Oh yeah and if that fails someone will probably find a way to install custom firmware on it so its all good.
