I doubt the sales would be good. People will go "oh, it's more of a gaming system?" and then just shrug. The casual players just pick up a
DS or PSP for either the library or multiple uses they have, and while the same will hold true with this new product, it will fail when you think about the hardcore crowd. I've seen a lot of casual gamers play a PSP, but I've seen way more hardcore gamers play a
DS. What library will Apple have for it's gaming system? What 3rd party developers are going to make games for this product? How are they going to utilize the system's functions to get the most out of games. Heck, Nintendo's already catching on to the idea that people like to trash talk each other online, so they've come up with the
Wii Speak channel and perpheial (sp?) thingy.
While I don't doubt they can MAKE the system, I doubt how they can sell, work, and use it to their advantage. The casual market isn't going to hold them up; the iPhone,
DS, and PSP already do what this thing does, but the thing is that most people already have at least two of those, so why bother with a combined system when you already can do whatever it does?
