Who needs official confirmation from the company when your country's rating system seems to catch wind of the news first? That seems to be the case with this new installment into the Guitar Hero franchise, appropriately titled
Modern Hits. This title will be Activision's third Guitar Hero
DS game, following
Guitar Hero: On Tour and
Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades. The games are played by using an included peripheral that plugs into the
GBA slot that resemble a Guitar Hero controller.
The source also confirms a handful of songs that will feature in the title, such as
Sum 41's "Still Waiting", Franz Ferdinand's "The Fallen" and Finger Eleven's "Paralyzer". It's also stated that the songs featured in the game will contain offensive lyrics.
The only question worth asking now is what Activision plan on doing about the DSi, as the lack of a
GBA slot renders this game unplayable on the system. Those thinking of upgrading might not want to trade in their current
DS yet.
