RUMOUR: New Metroid game teased on official site? - 02-07-09

I will stress that this is a RUMOUR! Don't assume that anything written here will actually happen. It's been almost two years since Metroid Prime 3: Corruption released on the Wii. Last year, Nintendo announced that they plan on bringing the whole trilogy to the Wii through their new NEW PLAY...

It could be a movie/anime. Or possibly another manga, since there already is (are?) one.

If it's a game, Fusion sequel plz. 2.5D for the DS, om nom nom.

I remember when I beated MP3C 100% on the hardest diffulculty the ending was diffrent >.> I seen Samus fly off into space and some space ship that looks like Sylux`s space ship followed her O_O

I saw that too,and i immediately thought "Sequel"...grrr,i hate cliff hangers

Well,personally i think it will be another game.The ship looked too much like Sylux's from hunters,and hes way too bad a** to be left behind in hunters.Oh well,only time will tell:cool:

so will it be in between metroid prime 3 and metroid 2(not prime 2)? Because from what was at the end of prime 3 there's a big gap between those two

Perhaps the it will be a sequel to MP3, were Samus is no longer the hunter- instead, she's the one being hunted by Sylux. It could be all about her trying to escape from him/it and trying to keep the Octiliths safe. If this is the case, hopefully we'll get to have entirely ship-based missions, were we would get to pilot here ship and blow up stuff! That would be pretty cool!

If a Metroid story is told from a Space Pirate's point of view that is also very interesting.

If the "new game" (probably) is about the space pirate and their fight again samus, i wanna see the story behind dark samus :). I think that will be about the pirates because in MP3 you destroyed dark samus. I dont think that she will revive again and if not is about she, with what you will fight?, and also phazee is destroyed and all the phazon, then what will be the source of the space pirate power?:confused:

I think that will be for the DSi or the new Wii.

I prefer to wait a nintendo conference before make any speculation.

But that new game will be very cool:)
