While I can agree with you that "Guitar Hero 5" is milking it, I don't know necessarily think that the other two games are. It's natural that if they're starting to have Guitar Hero's for the
DS, they'd have the installment for this year.
My major argument would be for Guitar Hero Greatest Hits. I think this is more geared toward people like myself who became in love with Guitar Hero in the middle (Guitar Hero III for me because that's when it first came out on the
Wii). I've wanted to play some of the songs from Guitar Hero 1 and 2 without shelling out the money for guitars for the other systems, as well as wanting to play my favorite songs from Guitar Hero III using the drums because that's what I'm better at.
I agree Guitar Hero 5 is too soon, I'm not that interested in Modern Hits, but I want Guitar Hero Greatest Hits. That's probably the one I'd buy.
