It's official, Activision are selling out. In yet another attempt to milk the Guitar Hero franchise for everything it's worth, Activision will be releasing a total of atleast four Guitar Hero games by years end, with the already announced Guitar Hero Metallica being the first.

I really disagree with putting Blizzard in with it, even if it's by extension. Blizzard has my full respect in the development of video games.

Why doesn't Activision just load up their Guitar Hero store with tons of music from the older games? It'll boost the store, and people can just buy what they want instead of investing 40-60 bucks for a game that has 10 songs they really want.

They're going a bit far with releasing even more peripherals to go with Guitar Hero V. I'm done with it. No more. I'm happy with what I got. Here's hoping Harmonix doesn't do the same.

Best thing to do would be to sell a totally empty playlisted disc and only download the songs you like à la carte. o:

I doubt that'd work with online multiplayer and story mode etc, but it's a nice thought. I mean, I wouldn't want to play songs I don't like. Not like I play the game anyway.

Someone explain this to me....maybe i'm slow...but if the franchise makes money, why NOT keep the games coming? So you want to realease 4 in one year, so what? If it's making them money, I say keep em coming. Guitar Hero and RockBand are like my two favorite games, but RockBand has proven to be more popular, maybe now things will change...I like the idea for using popular songs from older games...how about this for a playlist...at least some:

Through The Fire And Flames
Beast & The Harlot
Painted Black
The Trooper
Surrender
Free Bird

AND HINT TO ACTIVISION: HOW ABOUT A LITTLE FLYLEAF????

i hope they put YYZ in. i've been wanting to do the drums on that for quite a while now. Not to mention good songs like the Trooper, John the Fisherman, and Bulls on Parade. epic

Metallica next year
The DS ones could be sprinkled in between. I like guitar hero but this is getting ridiculous. They are going to over saturate the market.
