Introducing Pokémon Rumble! Announced recently as Pokémon Scramble in Japan the game will be released in America as Pokémon Rumble. The game is releasing on the wiiware and is being made by the same people who created Pokémon farm; it also re-uses the exact same character models.
Pokémon Rumble will be an action-brawler game meaning it will have a fighting style completely different than any Pokémon game in the past. You play as a Pokémon and fight off the on-screen enemies; oddly enough, rather than Pokémon fighting other Pokémon like in the games and shows you’re actually a toy Pokémon fighting other toy Pokémon.
To play the game you hold the
wii-remote on its side. You use the d-pad to move, use the 1 button to jump into “gateways” and the 2 button to perform attacks. You can use the A-button to swap your Pokémon for another one you have in your collection.
Personally I’ve never been a huge fan of button-mashing games or the artistic “style” that Pokémon farm offered. But still, I’ll keep an eye on this and maybe I’ll ever consider buying it.
