Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is a Capcom fighting game being developed by Eighting, exclusively for
Wii.
Today, the boxart was released, and it depicts every character on the roster, both those in the original Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and the new characters that were revealed in the English release.
That is, except for Yatterman #2.

This popular character from the Yatterman series, from which Yatterman #1 and Doronjo, two characters included in the original game are from, was expected to be in the final translation of the game.
After Tatsunoko vs. Capcom was announced for an English release, a lazy web designer created a website showcasing the characters. He had preloaded the images of the characters onto the website, even the characters that hadn't been announced yet. The images themselves were not on the site, but their filenames were. The filenames of interest were:

zero.jpg
joe.jpg
tekkabla.jpg
yatter02.jpg
The filenames corresponded to characters in the Tatsunoko and Capcom properties. Since the leak of the roster, all the characters listed on the website have been officially announced by Capcom, except for Yatterman #2. After Mega Man Zero was announced, Capcom stated that they were done with character development. With the release of the official boxart not featuring Yatterman #2, it may be the final nail in her coffin.
Is this the end of Yatterman #2? Will she never make the roster, or does Capcom have one more character up their sleeves? Rumors have been spreading that Capcom is having difficulty acquiring her rights, but seeing as the web designer who made the website included Yatterman #2, Capcom must at least be making an attempt, or had expected her to be in the game.
It's possible that Capcom made the neutral boxart to fit in with time constraints, because they still may be negotiating the rights for Yatterman #2. Nothing has been stated officially yet. All we can do is wait and see.
