Shiggy's disappointed with Star Fox's popularity.

On a recent interview, Shigeru Miyamoto was asked about games that didn't meet up to his expectations when released. He then brought up the case of the Star Fox series and talked about its followers drop over the years:

Quote:
I tend to forget those games [laughs]. I'm a big fan of the 'Star Fox' games. Every time we make a 'Star Fox' game I'm hoping people will enjoy it as much as I do. Of course the goal every time is to try and make it more and more fun but, at least in Japan, the people that purchase the 'Star Fox' games has decreased over the years. But we still try to make them more fun and hopefully people will see the appeal in those games.
As you can see, Shiggy did not give up on the series yet, so brace for some epic Star Fox games in the future. Let's repay him for all the fun he's given us by having even more fun with the next Star Fox game!

Yeah, like not Star Fox Command game play. It's a horrible game compared to Star Fox Assult, and that was a horrible game compared to Star Fox 64. The 64 version is so challenging, I've just managed to unlock the on foot feature in multiplayer last year (Only took me over 10 years!).

Star Fox is cool but you can't help but notice that its publicity has decreased over the last few years. I mean I didn't even notice when Star Fox 64 came out for the Wii 2 years ago.

Love Star Fox!

It's a shame not many people play it these days. But i know that soon there'll be an awesome Star Fox game that'll start a whole new craze

Of course it's not as popular anymore. There hasn't been a good Star Fox game in 12 years.
