"Mind Quiz", a popular brain training game much like "Brain Age" and "Big Brain Academy" has been pulled from the shelf. This time, by its manufacturer, Ubisoft. The game contains a phrase that insults those with mental disabilities.
"As soon as we were made aware of the issue we stopped distribution of the product and are now working with retailers to pull the game off the market," a spokesperson said.
The game was developed in Japan and when it was translated, the phrase was overlooked and was able to pass through unchecked. The problem was brought to the attention of the public when a woman from Belfast (its in the UK for those who don't know) reported it to the BBC.
"I thought it was absolutely appalling that a word like this should be used to describe someone who has not achieved very well" said Nicola, the woman who reported this.
