I welcome you to the third Smash Weekly written by NinBoy, a staff news writer of Friendcodes. As some of you may know, this is a relatively new addition of Friendcodes.com that is aimed to sum up all the Super Smash Bro updates from this week in just one article instead of a clutter of them. So please sit back and enjoy this week's sum up.
This week we've had some fantastic updates varying from the Superspicy Curry to Andross, from Star Fox which was an old enemy. Read on to find out all the new additions and updates to the game.
Superspicy Curry- Aug. 27 Mon. 2007

This is an extremely hot curry that seems to crackle with the flames. But you may ask, is it safe to eat? Of course it is, although it's not an ordinary food because when you eat it, you begin to spit out flames from your mouth! It's not like an ordinary fire flower either. You continue spewing flames out while you perform attacks. You can do combos one would normally never think of. Anyway, this seems like it has some potential in the game and can be used greatly in one's favor.
Four Special Move Types- Aug. 28 Tue. 2007

Different actions define different personalities in games but they really stick out in Brawl. In Brawl, you can choose from different moves with just one button on the Wii remote and different directional tilts on the nunchuck controller.
Each move from the set of four are quite different and they all have their own ups and downs.
First we have the standard special move. These are all basic attacks such as firing a weapon.
Next we have side special moves. These are bold attacks that launch in the direction you tilt the stick. They are semi powerful in can be used to defeat your enemy easily.
Third we have up special moves. These are crucial attacks that will most likely be used to make the final blow against your enemy. They’re used to do high jumps and for recovering when you’re falling off the stage.
Finally, we have the down special moves. Many of these are unusual moves. Some reflect enemy attacks and a few other things. They can be very powerful at sometimes but of course they don't work at some times.
Surprisingly, there’s a variety of unknown uses that they can and most likely be used for.
Andross- Aug. 28 Tue. 2007

Andross, a new assist trophy was recently announced this week. He's an old enemy of the Star Fox team and he appears hes in his original form and back to his old ways. He is a larger addition to the game but he does have good meaning at some times. He swiftly moves to the back of the scene, begins inhaling, then he spews polygonal panels from his mouth. Like a meteor storm, they continue to fly from his mouth for a good amount of time.
Pokémon Trainer: Special Moves- Aug. 29 Wed. 2007

The Pokemon trainer can command three types of different, yet unique poketmonsters. The three Pokemon are Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard. Each Pokemon has their own up and down techniques for the game. (So each of them have their own special moves)
First we have Squirtle's up special move called waterfall. Squirtle splashes up the water torrent and throws towards enemies. We also have Squirtle's side special called Withdraw. This special makes Squirtle slide around on the ground to hit and injure enemies. It can be used in a variety of different situations and ways so it would be good to learn to master these.
Secondly, we have Ivysaurs specials moves. The first one is titled Bullet Seed. It fires seeds straight up in the air to injure in enemies above him. Another one of Ivysaur's specials is Vine Whip. It grabs the edge of it's enemies and slams them to the ground until death.
Lastly, we have Charizard's specials. Flamethrower is pretty much self explanatory. Charizard blows molten heat from it's mouth to burn it's enemies until crispy. It's second special is Rock Smash. Rock Smash is very powerful and can be used to completely destroy enemies. Charizard smashes rocks with it's head and hurls them to the nearest character.
Anyway, these can be greatly mastered for the right time to use.
Gliding- Aug. 30 Thu. 2007
Characters such Pit, Meta Knight and the Pokémon Trainer’s Charizard from Brawl are suspected to be able to have gliding capabilities in the game.
Not much information has been release on this nor any details on what this and can be able to do with this technique. We do have a few control details that have been release though. First do a midair jump, continue holding the jump button and you’ll start gliding. Tilt the stick down (or forward) to angle down and back up to aim high.
WarioWare- Aug. 31 Fri. 2007

A new stage was also released this week with a few new details on it. Its a very interesting stage with all different playing fields. You might check the official website for more information on this.
