Smash Weekly Issue #6

Hello sweetie, and welcome to this edition of Smash Weekly, brought to you in widescreen by Budge007. We had some interesting updates this week on the Smash Dojo, a couple final smashes, a new assist trophy and the return of one of my favorite Super Smash Bros Melee features. I shall break them up into the order of which they were announced along with a little write up on them. This is also my very first post for Smash Weekly, so I'm not sure if what I'm doing is entirely right. If thats th case, without flaming you can tell me that, preferably via PM!

Many people thought that the originally announced "stickers" would be replacing the trophy mode in Brawl, but it seems to be returning in full swing with even more characters to read up on.

Occoo from Twilight Princess. As you can see, she has kept the same look since her Wii outing with Link!

For those 3 Nintendo fans who never played Melee, the trophy mode is where you collect realistic models of all you're favorite Nintendo characters which you can stare at and read up on the characters history.

You can rotate and zoom in on the trophies to get a better look, even change the lighting effects.

That's quite a collection there sonny.

As on Melee, you can organize them into game and type for easy finding.

Nintendo have managed to reinvent this feature, with the ability to arrange trophies together however you like.

What is Slippy doing with Snake's box and Wario's chopper?

A Nintendog attacking one of the Pikmin aliens? Tingle doesn't seem to mind

How many trophies will there be? Well no ones sure at this point, we can only assume there will be more than on Melee which was around 250.

It's Diddy Kong's Final Smash.

I'm here to eat bananas and kick butt, and I'm all out of bananas.

Diddy Kong equips his Peanut Pistols and Jet pack and takes to the sky as he flys around the stage causing chaos for everyone below him.

I swear, I can see my house from up here.

As Diddy flys around the stage, he will be shooting exploding peanuts downward. Seriously it becomes a mess, if you're Diddy Kong's rival I'd suggest you run.

You wouldn’t wanna eat those peanuts..

But it doesn't last forever, after a certain amount of time, Diddy's Jet pack explodes.

LAME, I still had 3 payments left on that!

You might also want to make sure you inflict damage on you're opponents while you are using this, because peanuts drop to the ground that can heal you're rivals while you're airborne.

Naturally, you can eat them too.

Now where have I seen this guys hairy little face? Oh...... oh man, it's Animal Crossing's Mr. Resetti.

Haha, someone reset their Wii console!

Hey it's not my fault.

Put simply, all this guy does is lecture and lecture and lecture when he has been called upon. He may cost you if you are willing to pay attention to what he is saying during a heated brawl.

Be thankful he isn't a playable character because he looks steamed.

Sure, go ahead I have all day!

Tell me about it >_>!

The rest of the time, it's some old mole who wants to lecture us about it.

BLAH BLAH BLAH

You sure made that painfully clear.

But the pointlessness stops there, it seems that he also whips out comments to the dear fighters.

Will they take offense.... or be bored to sleep before then?

Since the day Pokemon Trainer was announced, it became only suitable to make the Final Smash a Triple Threat between all 3 Pokemon, and thus it is now a reality.

One Pokemon grabs the Smash Ball, it doesn’t matter which one.

All 3 Pokemon get sent out.

After that, it's safe to assume you're screwed!

Each Pokemon launches an attack against you, all of which combine into one super attack.

Squirtle: Hydro Pump
Ivysaur: Solar Beam
Charizard: Fire Blast

You'd be stupid to want to be to close to this action.

The return of yet another classic Melee mode, the Tournament Mode.

This mode is when 2-4 players go head to head to head to head against each other, and the winner advances to the next match.

How many will play?

.... sure why not 32?

You can set all the rules here.

Set information for all the characters, including fixed damage meters.

You can name the characters if you want.

Alright, so everyones ready?

Are you ready?

LET THE BRAWL BEGIN!

Wow, Meta Knight cleaned up pretty quickly.

but Donkey Kong took home the trophy!

The only question to ask about this is.... will it be a Wi-Fi feature? It would be possible and awesome, but as of right now unconfirmed.

I liked this week on Dojo. Too many major update will get rid of the enthusiasm for the game. Some gamers want to have surprises when thay play.
