Super Mario Galaxy was first announced back at E3 in 2006, and it received excellent feedback from many fans of the series (which is pretty much any fan of Nintendo). Our favourite plumber was finally to star in a worthy sequel of Super Mario 64; said to be the best Mario 3D Action-platformer of all time. This amazing
Wii title is set for release in November across the globe. The dates vary, but only by a few days.
The first batch of reviews have been released in some of the most popular gaming magazines across Japan and England. In Famitsu, Japan's famous gaming magazine, Super Mario Galaxy was given a 38/40. Wow, that's near enough faultless! Famitsu's panel of judges described the game to have a near perfect use of the
Wii Remote, and a nice all around design of levels and scenery. Official Nintendo Magazine, situated in England, also gave the game a high rating of 97%. This isn't exactly unlike ONM as they are often slated for over rating games. Still, they complimented the game for having beautiful graphics compared to what most
Wii games are throwing at us in this present day in age.
It looks like this is one of the titles you'll want to be picking up this year. With the recent delay of Super Smash Bros Brawl, I believe that we are looking at the #1
Wii game this year, and it's sure to outsell most other titles put out by developers. My thought is that Umbrella Chronicles with the
Wii Zapper will still be the best, but heck, I'm a huge Resident Evil fan so it's a completely biased opinion. Super Mario Galaxy is currently the most pre-ordered
Wii game to be on the market, with over 700,000 pre-orders in Japan and 400,000 in the US placed through Gamestop shops. Be sure not to miss out!
You can pick up this game on the following dates.
Japan: November 1, 2007
North America: November 12, 2007
Europe: November 16, 2007
Australia: November 29, 2007
