VC Weekly Issue #2

Hello, this is Dragonpike bringing you're Virtual Console updates today! Today we have some classics you may be familiar to, and some you may have not. Lets see what we have here!

NTSC (North America)

Wrecking Crew, NES, 500 points.

Well, it looks like Mario is stuck. Try using the hammer Mario! Yes, in Wrecking Crew, you play as Mario, who has to get out of the level by smashing it up with his hammer in a certain way. You can also make your own brink busting levels. Luigi is also on the scene, but is in the purple overalls. This a unique little puzzle game. This is a bargain bin gem that's worth checking out!

Sonic 3D Blast, Genesis, 800 points.

Back when Sonic was at his prime, they tried to re-do his format so many times, this wasn't one of the good ones. This is another "Unique" game. This isometric( 2D made to look like a 3D effect) platformer isn't the speediest of the Sonic series, or the best to control. But it's good for a few minutes. I recommend you stay away from this one.

Super Air Zonk, Turbografx, 800 points.

This game is the successor to the classic 2D shooter Air Zonk. In this game, the Bonky protagonist flies back and forth on the screen blasting his pathetic enemies. This game is child's play at the most, and it bores you after a while. And the eight bucks surely isn't worth it. I'd say pass this, unless you're a die hard fan of the series.


PAL (Europe and Australia)

The King Of Fighters '94, NeoGeo, 900 points.

If you were rich enough to get a NeoGeo, you might remember this one!
Including characters from Fatal Fury, Ikari Warriors, and Art of fighting all join in in the King of Fighters tournament. Selecting from trios from all over the world, you must use your team to annihilated your opponent to become to champions! Players can also activate "Desperation Moves". You will have a ball while taking on the pike of the SNK Universe's Fighters!

Bubble Bobble, NES, 500 points.

This true classic is now up for sale up in the Virtual Console. Released in 1990, this game is still fighting strong. Our main characters are Bub and Bob, two dinosaurs who go on a quest to save their girlfriends from the Cave Of Monsters. Yes, it sounds corny, but it's actually great. The game also has a two player mode where you can be Bob and your bud can be Bub. You'll just love all the bubble blowing action! This is one you gotta pick up!
