Since Super Mario Galaxy's release, game experts have been saying that it was a golden nominee for Game of the Year. Although it isn't the Game of 2007 yet, according to Game Trailers, it is.
Game Trailers has made a video showing off all their finalists for Game of the Year 2007. Among the games mentioned in the video were Bioshock, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and of course, Super Mario Galaxy. At the end, it came down to two finalists, Super Mario Galaxy and not surprisingly Halo 3. But what threw the final vote in Super Mario Galaxy's favour?
According to Game Trailers, Super Mario Galaxy was chosen because you can enjoy the game to it's fullest with just the
Wii and the controller, where to enjoy Halo 3 to the max you require an Xbox LIVE subscription.
This is a great time for Nintendo. The
Wii and
DS have really paid off for them over the last year. Who knows, maybe Super Smash Bros. Brawl can do this for Nintendo this year?
