EA confirms Rockband for Wii - 02-01-08

It was eventually bound to happen. EA has announced that their Rockband franchise will be coming to the Wii in the near future. All that we are left with is a "coming soon", but you can probably expect it some time this year.

So far no screens or other details have been...

Re: EA confirms Rockband for Wii

I never saw a problem with Rock Band's set list. There's a wide variety of genres, allowing for some fun variation. Plus theres the downloadable songs, which get added to every week. But I don't know if the Wii will have downloadable song support or not, which kinda sucks.

Activision thought about for Guitar Hero III and said they'll do it. What kind of downloadable songs does Rock Band get?

It has a ton, actually. Theres a song by Rush and Metallica in the game already, but they have a Metallica pack you can download with a bunch more, and from what I've heard theres at least a few more Rush songs, including "Working Man" which is my personal favourite.

But yeah, there are lots more songs, including stuff by All-American Rejects and Foreigner.
