EA confirms Rockband for Wii
It was eventually bound to happen. EA has announced that their Rockband franchise will be coming to the Wii in the near future. All that we are left with is a "coming soon", but you can probably expect it some time this year.

So far no screens or other details have been announced, but we will surely keep you updated. Rockband was created by Harmonix Music Systems, also known for their work on Guitar Hero.

Nice!!!! I cant wait :) WOuld be awesome if the wii had a headset peripheral when it comes out.

I wonder if the GH3 guitar would work? Because it would be an epic waste of money to have 2.

Yea, that's true. Since the input is routed through the Wii remote, I would assume that it should work...

(Remember that the Xbox 360 versions of both controllers work and use default wireless input, but the PS3 one uses a USB Hub)

It does work, but Rock Band comes with another one because theres a guitarist AND bassist in the game, so it'd be good to have 2. Plus the Rock Band guitar has solo buttons. =)

why would you want screens? It's the same game for a different system. I really wanted to try this game out though so I'm happy now... Harmonix lives... when's this out?
