Remember when Sonic games were good? Remember when we would spend hours exhausting our thumbs directing the little blue rodent through loops and mazes to stop the evil Robotnik? As with all good games, they from time to time suffer a slump where their games turn out being a little lackluster when compared to the predecessors. Sonic is no exception, except his slump has lasted far too long, maybe it's time for Sonic to make a true comeback?
This latest installment into the series known as "Sonic Unleashed" seems to be doing just that, according to a new trailer that has found it's way to youtube. If the trailer is anything to believe, the game plays just like the old school we all loved mixed with a unique 3D style. Details regarding the title are very scarce, but it seems to be taking a page from Twilight Princess with Sonic being able to transform into a "werewolf form". What also came as a surprise (although it's not exactly confirmed), Sonic Stadium claims the title will be multi-platform, including a
Wii version.
"Sonic unleashed will be on the cover of the next PLAY magazine, it will also feature in Nintendo's magazine (NOM) and will be in the August issue. The screens I have uploaded are from the Xbox 360 version of the game, however, the game is going to be a multiformat release."
Along with Sonic, you can also expect appearances from his two MySpace buddies, Knuckles and Tails. We will keep you updated regarding this game.

As with the screens, that video is also from the Xbox 360 version. All I can say is that this game looks like it might be interesting. Seems like it is a mix between classic Sonic with 3D Sonic. Let's hope there are no vehicles or fire arms in this title.
